On the evening of July 25 in Hanoi, the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the closing ceremony of the Vietnam Summer Camp 2025 with the theme "Together we continue to write the story of peace ".
Over the past two weeks, 110 delegates, including outstanding Vietnamese youth and overseas students from 31 countries and territories around the world, have traveled together through 10 provinces and cities from the South to the North, exploring lands rich in cultural and historical identity.
According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this year's summer camp takes place at a time when the country is experiencing sacred milestones. Therefore, this can also be considered a "journey back to the roots" for the young generation of overseas Vietnamese to better understand and appreciate the great sacrifices of their ancestors, thereby increasing their pride and responsibility towards their homeland and country.
Ms. Ngo Thi Thanh Mai, Vice Chairwoman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, said that this year's Summer Camp Organizing Committee has made efforts to organize activities, from sightseeing to exchanges, entirely in Vietnamese. In particular, the Vietnamese language contest within the framework of the summer camp carries a meaningful message, calling on the young generation of Vietnam around the world to preserve their mother tongue and promote the tradition of loving peace.

In addition to sightseeing activities, learning about the culture and history of the nation, the young delegates also shared the difficulties with disabled and orphaned children, poor students who overcame difficulties, as well as families of policy beneficiaries, war invalids and martyrs in the localities the delegation passed through.
Dang Minh Tam, a young delegate from Poland, representing 110 young people and students, spoke at the closing ceremony, unable to contain his emotions when he had the opportunity to visit the "red addresses" of his homeland. "We were able to visit Quang Tri Citadel and Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery. I was really moved when I came here, knowing that our ancestors shed blood to gain independence as it is today. I hope that in the coming years, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will continue to organize such meaningful activities so that we, young Vietnamese people, can understand more about our homeland and the country where we were born."
