Tet drama in Ho Chi Minh City is a bumper crop

IDECAF, The Gioi Tre, Hong Van, and Thien Dang stages won the most because they had many star artists and chose plays that were fun, humorous, and light, suitable for the spring atmosphere. Hong Van stage performed horror plays like The Ghost Wife and Silent Room, which are also a special feature of Tet plays here. People's Artist Hong Van said: "The revenue from horror plays is not inferior to comedy plays. If there is demand, there is supply, we just meet the audience's needs". Hoang Thai Thanh stage chose tragedies like Short and Long Hair and the theater was still almost full. Director Ai Nhu affirmed: "If you laugh too much, you have to cry to balance it out, it is also a natural law of psychology. Every stage has its own audience".

Quoc Thao Theater has just moved to Phu Nhuan location not long ago, but it is already bustling with audiences. Director Quoc Thao said: "The afternoon show is very crowded, more crowded than the evening show. Maybe it's because it's more convenient for people to go see the show in the afternoon, and in the evening they will have time to go see the city lit up brightly."
