This is a top sporting event that continues to affirm the role of the tournament with the longest tradition and largest scale in Vietnamese golf.
This year's tournament will take place from August 18 to 23 at FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon, gathering 150 of the best golfers in the country, including professional Vietnamese athletes and amateur athletes with a handicap index no higher than 5.0 for men and 10.0 for women.
Golfers will compete in a 72-hole stroke play format (4 rounds of 18 holes each). After the first 36 holes, the organizers will make the cut, selecting the 50 best male golfers and 12 best female golfers for the final two rounds. The golfer with the lowest gross score after 4 rounds will win.
The total prize fund this year is 1.2 billion VND, of which the men's division has 1 billion VND and the women's division is 200 million VND. The men's division champion receives 180 million VND, while the women's division champion receives 60 million VND.
In order to encourage sustainable development, the organizers exempted the participation fee for the defending champion and members of the national golf team, while reducing the fee by 50% for athletes under 18 years old.
In particular, this year marks the first time the tournament has been held in Gia Lai, after three consecutive seasons in Hai Phong. The choice of Gia Lai – a land rich in potential and room for development – has great significance for both sports and tourism .
Gia Lai is currently the second largest province in the country, possessing diverse terrain from blue sea to cool Central Highlands mountains. With two airports in Phu Cat and Pleiku and an expressway about to be deployed, Gia Lai is gradually completing regional and international infrastructure, attracting tourists and investors. This is also a locality with many favorable conditions for golf tourism development.
Speaking at the press conference, journalist Phung Cong Suong - Editor-in-Chief of Tien Phong Newspaper, co-Head of the Organizing Committee - emphasized that over the past 3 seasons, the tournament has left its mark with many worthy champions.
Among them are the top young talents of Vietnamese golf such as Nguyen Anh Minh (ranked 42nd in the world amateur golf, runner-up of US Junior Amateur 2025, bronze medalist of SEA Games 32), Nguyen Nhat Long - champion in 2023, Nguyen Duc Son - champion in 2024, and Le Chuc An - champion for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024.
Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province – Mr. Nguyen Van Y – affirmed that after the merger, Gia Lai province has all the favorable factors of time, place and people to become a new growth pole. In recent years, Gia Lai sports have achieved many remarkable achievements and are a reliable destination for organizing major tournaments.
The local golf movement is growing, and hosting the National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025 is a testament to a new step forward, contributing to raising the level of local sports and contributing to the overall development of Vietnamese golf.

Through the organization of the Tournament, not only has it given wings to young talents but it has also been a launching pad for the national team to prepare for major tournaments, and this year it will be the 33rd SEA Games.
