Urgent construction of flood-proof projects in Quang Ngai

(QNgTV)- The Central region is about to enter the peak of storms and floods. Currently, key underwater projects and works in Quang Ngai province are being accelerated by investors and construction units to ensure safe flood crossing.

Project of Anti-erosion Embankment and Landscape Restoration on the South Bank of Tra Khuc River

The Tra Khuc River downstream dam project has a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND, with the implementation period from 2018 to 2025, invested by the Quang Ngai Provincial Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board. This is an irrigation and traffic project with the main objective of raising water, creating landscape, contributing to improving the environment for the central urban area of ​​Quang Ngai, limiting saline intrusion in the riverbed upstream of the dam in the context of climate change and exploiting land for urban development along the Tra Khuc River. Currently, the project is under construction to have roads during this flood season for people to travel.

Also on the Tra Khuc River, contractors are currently focusing on the project of embankment to prevent landslides and beautify the landscape of the southern bank of the Tra Khuc River (from Tra Khuc 1 Bridge to Tam Thuong). After more than 7 months of construction, the embankment project is ahead of schedule, meeting the requirements of responding to natural disasters during the rainy and stormy season.
