Recently, in Thoi Binh district, joy filled the new homes of two families of Agent Orange/Dioxin victims. The Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims of Ca Mau province and the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Charity Association held a handover ceremony of two Charity Houses to Mr. Le Minh Duong's family (Le Hoang Tha hamlet, Tan Bang commune) and Mr. Le Van Thao's family (Nguyen Tong hamlet, Bien Bach Dong commune).
Mr. Le Minh Duong's house is worth 95 million VND, of which Dr. Phuong Ngoan's family (Ho Chi Minh City) supported 50 million VND through the mobilization of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Charity Association, the rest was contributed by the family. Mr. Le Van Thao's house is worth 105 million VND, of which 60 million VND was supported by the Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, the rest was contributed by the family. Solid houses not only have material value but also light up the hope of a stable life for families who have suffered many disadvantages.
The Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Ca Mau province coordinated with the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Charity Association to hand over a House of Love to Mr. Le Minh Duong's family.
Sharing at the house handover ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hue, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Charity Association, was moved: "We not only want to bring warm homes but also hope to give more faith and strength to families to overcome difficulties. Today's houses are the result of sharing and connecting the generosity of the sponsors and the sense of responsibility of the Association as well as the local government."
On behalf of his family, Mr. Le Minh Duong expressed his deep gratitude: "We never thought that one day we would be able to live in such a spacious house. The kindness of the uncles and aunts in the Association and the sponsors has given my family more motivation to strive to improve our lives. Thank you to the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Ca Mau Province, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Charity Association and the sponsors."
Mr. Le Van Thao was also moved and expressed: "Having a new house, I can rest assured to do business and take care of my children. This gift not only has material value but is also a great source of spiritual encouragement for my family. I would like to thank the uncles and aunts for their help."
The local government representative emphasized that the cooperation of the Association and philanthropists contributes significantly to social security work, helping families of Agent Orange victims stabilize their lives.
The Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in Ca Mau Province and the Women's Charity Association of Ho Chi Minh City also brought joy to the people of Lung Vinh Hamlet (Quach Pham Bac Commune, Dam Doi District) when they organized the inauguration ceremony of the Tu Da rural traffic bridge. The bridge is 27 m long and 2 m wide, with a total construction cost of 120 million VND, sponsored by the family of Ms. Huynh Thi Du (Ho Chi Minh City).
The charity group happily walked on the newly inaugurated bridge in Lung Vinh hamlet.
Representative of the Quach Pham Bac commune government, Mr. Nguyen Chi Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, expressed: "We respectfully acknowledge the meaningful contributions of the Association and sponsors. This bridge will serve hundreds of households, help students go to school more safely and create convenience for people in agricultural production."
Ms. Do Bich Nhien, representative of the sponsoring family, shared: "We feel very happy to see the bridge completed today. Hopefully this will be the beginning of positive changes in the lives of Lung Vinh people. Especially hope that the children will have a safer way to go to school."
On this occasion, the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in the province coordinated with the family of Ms. Huynh Thi Du to present 70 gifts to Agent Orange victims and children in difficult circumstances at the Ca Mau Provincial Trade Union Guest House. Each gift is worth 700,000 VND, including essential necessities.
Over the years, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Charity Association has become a trusted partner, closely associated with the Ca Mau Province Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in caring for Agent Orange victims and people in difficult circumstances.
