"Despicable Me" 4 is a big hit at the Vietnamese box office

The animated film "Despicable Me" 4 is taking the Vietnamese box office by storm, continuously leading the daily revenue since July 5th until now.

According to statistics from Box Office Vietnam (an independent Vietnamese box office statistics site with a small margin of error), the movie "Despicable Me" 4 has earned more than 73 billion VND by noon on July 12. This number will continue to increase in the coming time.

The animated franchise has enjoyed box office success.

"Despicable Me" is a branded animated film that has repeatedly achieved high revenue in the Vietnamese market. In part 4, the film tells the story of Gru's family, when they move to a new place and meet new people. At this place, Gru and Lucy have the opportunity to meet their neighbor Poppy, a big fan of Gru and wants to cooperate with him.

Not only did "Despicable Me" 4 do well at the Vietnamese box office, it also had an explosive global debut.

The film took the No. 1 spot at the North American box office, earning $122.6 million over the five days of the US Independence Day holiday and $75 million over the past three weekends.

The film grossed $106.9 million from 73 markets, bringing its global opening total to $229.5 million. Its global total now stands at $269.3 million and counting.

According to Variety's prediction, the film will bring in high profits because the budget is only 100 million USD.
