Meeting to prepare for the Launching Ceremony of Environmental Protection and Marine and Island Biodiversity Protection in 2023

On December 6, the Department of Environmental Crime Investigation, Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Police held a meeting to discuss preparations for the Launching Ceremony of Environmental Protection and Marine and Island Biodiversity Protection in 2023. Attending were Major General Nhu Thi Minh Nguyet, Deputy Director of the Department of Environmental Crime Investigation, Ministry of Public Security ; Colonel Huynh Tan Hanh, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police.

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Nhu Thi Minh Nguyet, Deputy Director of the Department of Environmental Crime Investigation, stated: Ninh Thuan province is one of the provinces favored by nature with both sea and mountains, so it has diverse and rich biological resources in both sea and mountains. In particular, Ninh Thuan has Nui Chua National Park (Vinh Hai commune, Ninh Hai district), which is one of the world and regional biosphere reserves. At the same time, responding to World Oceans Day 2023 with the theme "Exploiting and using resources sustainably, protecting the marine and island environment" and the Project "Strengthening the prevention and combat of biodiversity crimes by 2030, with a vision to 2025" in the People's Public Security, this year, the Ministry of Public Security has chosen Ninh Thuan province to organize this important event.

Colonel Huynh Tan Hanh, Director of the Provincial Police, emphasized that this is an annual event of the Ministry of Public Security to promote awareness among officials, employees, and people about the importance of environmental protection and the consequences of climate change that are happening every day, directly affecting the economy, culture, and society of the country in general and the province in particular. Therefore, relevant agencies need to uphold their sense of responsibility in performing the task of organizing the launching ceremony to promote and create a profound effect on the Party Committee, government, people, and tourists when coming to Ninh Thuan.

The launching ceremony for environmental protection and marine and island biodiversity protection in 2023 is expected to be held on December 22, 2023 at Nui Chua National Park.
