Coach Kiatisak suddenly announced that he would leave CAHN Club from May 14. That same afternoon, “Thai Zico” and his close associates went to the airport to return to Thailand. This lightning-fast farewell surprised fans.

A week after resigning as head coach of the police force football team, the former striker of the Thai national team spoke for the first time about his decision. The coach, born in 1973, shared with Sports Daily News : “That is the rule of football. When you have a goal, you have to consider whether you can achieve it or not. Or, you set a certain goal to have a chance. There will be times when you encounter a deadlock and cannot move forward. That led to the decision to stop.”

Coach Kiatisak confirmed that he had not talked to any team before leaving CAHN Club.

“I want to confirm that I have not talked to any team before resigning as head coach of CAHN Club. Currently, I want to spend time taking care of my family. I have been in Vietnam for quite a long time and miss my loved ones very much. This is also part of the reason why I decided to resign. Now, I have more time to spend with my family. I do not know what the future will be like. My coaching career must continue, but I need to rest first. Let's wait and see what happens next,” Sports Daily News quoted coach Kiatisak.

Coach Kiatisak returned to Vietnam to lead HAGL from the beginning of the 2021 season. "Thai Zico" moved to CAHN Club from the beginning of 2024 and resigned after 4 months of steering the 2023 V-League champion. After Coach Kiatisak returned to Thailand, there were many speculations about his future. In particular, the media and fans of the land of golden temples all expected this 51-year-old coach to return to lead the country's U.23 team.
