Happiness comes after nearly two decades of waiting
Married since 2006, Trung and Thanh thought that the journey to parenthood was as normal as any other couple. But three pregnancies ended in heartbreaking tragedies: ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, miscarriage. The repeated losses not only wore down their physical health, but also put their marriage in a fragile state.
For 17 years, the couple traveled from North to South, visited countless large and small medical facilities, took all kinds of medicine, underwent surgery, but hope remained silent. It was not until May 2024, during a seminar on infertility at Duc Phuc Hospital, that the door of hope truly opened. For Loc Thi Vui and Lang Van Sau in Lang Son, the journey to find a child was shorter, but it was also a difficult and challenging journey. Ms. Vui choked up remembering the 2 years of taking medicine that cost nearly 7 million VND per month, which exhausted the family’s finances .
