Hai Phong implements 5 forest planting projects

According to the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Hai Phong city is implementing five afforestation projects, including on both the mainland and islands.

Thien Van Hill Forest (Kien An Ward) is being replanted in some areas.

These are the Coastal Forest Restoration and Development Projects in Cat Ba archipelago, Hai Phong city, period 2016 - 2020; Forestry modernization project and coastal resilience enhancement project; Forestry replacement project for forest areas converted to other uses in 2018; Forestry replacement project for mountainous forest areas when carrying out site clearance for the Kien An district Martyrs Memorial Construction Project on Thien Van mountain; Mangrove forestation project to return the recovered forest area for the Cat Hai - Cat Ba cross-island road upgrading and expansion project (Cai Vieng - Moc Trang section).

The implementation of afforestation projects contributes to improving forest productivity and quality. Of which, about 400 hectares of production forest are replanted after exploitation; 520,000 scattered trees including timber and shade trees; 1,107.56 hectares of forest regeneration promotion; 494.53 hectares of planted forest are cared for. Production forest is 92.61 ha, exploited wood volume is 8,864 ^m3 ; wood output from scattered trees is estimated at 832.4 ^m3 .
