Hearing a child's screams, two police officers from Dak Mil district ( Dak Nong ) immediately went to find and rescue the child who was about to fall from the 4th floor to the ground.

On the afternoon of December 6, a leader of the Department of Education and Training of Dak Nong province said that on the morning of the same day, at the Dak Nong Continuing Education Center (Gia Nghia City), a rare incident occurred when a girl and her parents came to attend an English speaking contest and unfortunately fell off the railing. The girl was safely rescued by two police officers from Dak Mil district and a teacher.

"The contest took place on the 2nd floor, but it is unclear why the child lost his parents and went to the 4th floor, leading to the rare incident. Fortunately, the child was rescued safely and his health was not affected," said the Department leader.

Previously, at around 10:15 a.m. on December 6, at the Dak Nong Province Continuing Education Center, an English speaking contest for primary school students across the province took place. At that time, Major Tran Dinh Tin, Deputy Captain of the Traffic Police Team of Dak Mil District Police (who was taking his child to the contest), was resting on the second floor when he heard a scream from the upper floor and rushed up to check.

Arriving at the 4th floor, Major Tin discovered a girl about 3 years old had fallen off the railing, lying on the rain-proof sash (5m long, about 45cm wide, 1.5m from the foot of the railing). The girl was panicking, at risk of falling to the ground at any moment.

Immediately, Major Tin coordinated with Lieutenant Colonel Phan Le Tien, Captain of the Dak Mil District Police General Team (also a parent whose child was taking the exam), to organize the rescue. Before climbing over the railing to approach, the two soldiers called on everyone below to spread out blankets in case the child fell. After that, both of them quickly climbed over the railing, approached and carried the child to a safe area, to the relief of everyone.

It is known that the child followed his parents to the center to watch the competition. While there was no adult watching, he went up to the 4th floor, crawled through the hole under the railing, and fell out of the ceiling.

"We only had time to think about how to save the child as quickly as possible because he was so panicked that if he moved, he could fall to the ground, endangering his life. When approaching, we both calmed him down and called for support with ropes and ladders, and at the same time climbed over the railing to reach a safe position and carried him out of the danger zone," Major Tin shared.
