Hackers sell data of Giao Hang Nhanh and Sapo on the "dark web"

(NLDO) - Many cases of selling data of Vietnamese organizations and businesses have been continuously discovered on "black" forums, where hackers exchange and sell information.

Recently, on an international forum for "hackers" and illegal transactions, an account appeared selling data of many Vietnamese businesses.

Data of Giao Hang Nhanh and Sapo is in danger

Notably, there is data related to Giao Hang Nhanh (GHN) - a company operating in the field of delivery and Sapo - a business providing website and e-commerce services.

According to the posted content, GHN's data includes order information such as buyer name, phone number, delivery address, product details (type, name, price), bill of lading code and transaction time. This data was extracted from 2023.

"I have millions of information, can sell all or split into packages. Price is negotiable, please contact" - one account wrote.

This account also said that the leaked Sapo data included customer information and shopping data. The time of data extraction was recorded in 2025.

The files have had dozens of downloads.

Meanwhile, Sapo representative emphasized that Sapo system is built with strict security standards, fully complying with Vietnamese regulations as well as international standards.

"All of Sapo's customer data and information is still being securely protected. Sapo will continue to perform regular and continuous security operations to protect customers' personal information and assets," a Sapo representative affirmed.

6 months discovered hundreds of data sales cases

A report from Viettel Threat Intelligence (Viettel Cyber ​​Security) shows that in the first half of 2025 alone, nearly 8.5 million Vietnamese user accounts were stolen, accounting for 1.7% of the global total. Notably, many accounts were corporate email, VPN (virtual private network), SSO, administrative accounts...

Along with that, Viettel Threat Intelligence discovered 191 cases of data sales in Vietnam, a three-fold increase compared to the same period last year. Most of them were identifying information, customer profiles and internal data of large businesses and agencies.

The common cause is believed to be that the system still has unpatched vulnerabilities or the administrator account has been taken over but not detected in time.
