Accordingly, all 128 subsidized bus routes and 2 metro routes including route 2A Cat Linh - Ha Dong and route 3.1 Nhon - Cau Giay will be free for all passengers. Passengers using single tickets will be issued tickets but will not be charged; users of monthly tickets, free cards or priority cards only need to present their cards when using the service.
This activity is carried out by the Hanoi Traffic Management and Operation Center in coordination with bus transport enterprises and Hanoi Railway One Member Co., Ltd., under the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee and the Department of Construction. The goal is to encourage people to use public transport, contributing to reducing traffic congestion and environmental pollution, while building the image of a civilized, modern and friendly capital.
The city requires operating units to closely monitor passenger volume, promptly adjust frequency, increase trips, and extend operating hours if necessary. Control of the number of free tickets will be strictly implemented to ensure payment is made in accordance with regulations.
Departments, branches and local authorities increase propaganda, guide people to access bus stops, routes and connections to event venues and tourist attractions, contributing to creating the most favorable conditions for people and tourists during this important holiday.
