Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society Vu Hong Hai shared that over the years, with the cultural tradition of "Discipline and Unity", the aspiration to rise up of the people of Quang Ninh, the province's voluntary blood donation campaign has always been interested and developed more and more deeply, diversely, richly, flexibly, suitable for each stage, locality, and target, creating a strong spread of the spirit of volunteerism among a large number of civil servants, public employees, the young generation, officers and soldiers of the armed forces, all classes of people and the whole community.
The Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial Red Cross Society emphasized that every year, the Steering Committees at all levels have proactively and successfully organized the campaigns: "Pink Spring Festival", "National Voluntary Blood Donation Day", " World Day to Honor Voluntary Blood Donors", "Red Sunday", "Summer Blood Drops" associated with the "Red Journey" program... creating a widespread, noble and humane mass movement.

The family of Mr./Ms. Vu Van Thanh and Nguyen Thi Theu (Group 4, Zone 5, Cam Trung Ward, Cam Pha City) with 52 times of blood donation shared: Every time I donate blood, I feel happy, happy because I am in good health, happier than many other people, when I am in good health to donate blood. Giving, even if it is small, does not affect much on my health or time, but the value that the recipient receives is huge, sometimes unimaginable. Donating blood not only saves a life but also saves the life of an entire family. This can help the recipient continue to pursue their dreams, aspirations and work, and they can even do good things for others. In particular, after having children, blood donors have the spirit of setting an example for their children to learn and follow, so that their children also feel that they are valuable people to everyone in their future lives.

In Quang Ninh, responding to the program, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee unanimously chose to propose the theme "Red Drops of Mine Land", which is a unique feature of the heroic Mining region. After more than 10 years of accompanying, "Red Drops of Mine Land" is spreading deeply to localities in the province with "Red Drops of Border - The leading place of the country" - Mong Cai City, "Red Drops of Sea and Islands" - Co To District, "Red Drops of Commercial Port" - Van Don District, "Red Drops of Ha Long" - Ha Long City, "Red Drops of Bach Dang" - Quang Yen Town, creating a breakthrough with remarkable results: if in 2018 only 9,000 units of blood were received and by 2024 up to 21,500 units of blood were received, in the first 6 months of the year, the whole province received over 12,000 units of blood, reaching over 55% of this year's plan. Strive to end the "Summer Blood Drops" campaign associated with the "Red Journey" program and by 2025, it is estimated to reach 22,000 units of blood, contributing to the successful completion of the target of 100,000 units of blood of the National Red Journey program.
