This is the second month gas prices have decreased in 2025.

Domestic retail gas prices in March continued to decrease from today, March 1, following the downward trend of world gas prices. Specifically, the retail price of Petrolimex gas cylinders (including VAT) in March 2025 in the Hanoi market is 457,400 VND/12 kg household cylinder; 1,829,600 VND/48 kg industrial cylinder, respectively decreasing by 2,700 VND/12 kg cylinder and 10,500 VND/48 kg cylinder.

Similarly, gas prices of City Petro, Vimexco, Vina Pacific Petro at Pacific Petroleum Trading Joint Stock Company (Gas Pacific Petro) decreased by 167 VND/kg.

Specifically, a 6 kg cylinder will be reduced by VND1,000/cylinder and the new selling price will be VND275,500/cylinder; a 12 kg cylinder will be reduced by VND2,000/cylinder, to VND491,500/cylinder; a 45 kg cylinder will be reduced by VND7,500, to VND1,842,000/cylinder; a 50 kg cylinder will be reduced by VND8,000/cylinder, to VND2,046,500/cylinder.

According to the representative of Petrolimex Gas Corporation, the gas price in March 2025 decreased because the average world gas price contract in March 2025 was at 610 USD/ton, a decrease of 20 USD/ton compared to February 2025 and due to fluctuations in the USD exchange rate, Petrolimex Gas Corporation adjusted the corresponding decrease.

Thus, this is the second month in 2025 that gas prices continue to decrease. In the world market, at 8:30 a.m. on March 1 (Vietnam time), the price of US natural gas futures for April 2025 (delivered on February 26) was stable at 3.82 USD/mmbtu, down 2.92% compared to the previous price.
