Geely EX5 2026 for sale in China, as cheap as Hyundai Grand i10

After nearly a year since its launch in the Chinese market, the Geely Galaxy E5 has officially been upgraded for 2026. This is the new Geely EX5 electric SUV model launched in the Vietnamese market in mid-July. The biggest change to the 2026 Geely EX5 in the Chinese market is the new 68.39 kWh battery pack. This lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery pack provides a driving range of 610 km on China's CLTC cycle.
Meanwhile, the old 60.22 kWh battery pack has now become the base option for the 2026 Geely EX5. This battery pack retains the same 530 km range according to CLTC standards or 410 km according to WLTP standards. Meanwhile, the smallest battery pack with a capacity of 49.52 kWh with a range of 440 km according to CLTC standards and 345 km according to WLTP standards has been removed from the vehicle's equipment list. Both battery packs of the Geely EX5 2026 support DC fast charging, with a charging time from 30% to 80% in just 20 minutes. This suggests that the larger battery pack may have been upgraded to a charging capacity beyond the 100 kW of the previous 60.22 kWh version. According to Chinese news site Autohome, the vehicle-to-light (V2L) power supply feature has also been upgraded in output, from 3.3 kW to 6.6 kW.
Meanwhile, the powertrain of the Geely EX5 2026 remains the same. The car uses an electric motor located on the front axle with a maximum capacity of 218 horsepower and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. Thanks to that, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 180 km/h. Geely EX5 is a compact SUV aimed at urban mobility. The vehicle's dimensions Length x Width x Height are 4,615 x 1,901 x 1,670 (mm), wheelbase: 2,750mm. The standard version is equipped with a 15.4-inch screen running Flyme Auto OS, 06 speakers and a surround-view camera system. The highest-end version is equipped with the advanced driving assistance system L2 ADAS, front seats with massage, heating, ventilation, a head-up display (HUD) and 16 Flyme Sound speakers. In addition to the battery upgrade, the Geely EX5 2026 also has two new paint colors: Evening Forest Green and Dawn Blue. The old paint colors such as Dawn White, Midnight Black, Evening Cherry Pink, Sky Green, Morning Mist Gray and Streamer Silver are still retained.

Meanwhile, the old version of this Chinese electric car is sold in Vietnam with prices starting from 771 million VND. The listed price of the “newbie” Geely EX5 is higher than its direct competitor BYD Atto 3 (766-886 million VND).
