The Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra will bring to the capital audience a special concert night “Vivaldi & Beethoven” at 8:00 p.m. on September 20 at the Hoan Kiem Theater, Hanoi.
This program is part of the series of high-end art events "Essence of Sound" of the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra, aiming to contribute to enhancing cultural life and bringing top-notch artistic experiences to the public.
The concert is led by conductor Honna Tetsuji, with the participation of People's Artist Bui Cong Duy (violin), artists Chuong Vu (violin), Do Phuong Nhi (violin). Especially, there will be the appearance of talents such as Denis Shapovalow - cellist who won the Gold Medal at the 11th Tchaikovsky Music Competition in Moscow (Russia) and pianist Luong Khanh Nhi - who just won the Third Prize at the Leeds Piano Competition 2024.

The program will take the audience on a musical journey through time, through two parts. Part I introduces four immortal concertos from Antonio Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" collection, with solo violin performances by artists Chuong Vu and Do Phuong Nhi.
After the break, the audience will move on to part 2 of the program to enjoy Ludwig van Beethoven's Concerto for Three Strings in C Major, Op. 56. The work will be performed by a trio of soloists: People's Artist Bui Cong Duy (violin), cellist Denis Shapovalov and pianist Luong Khanh Nhi.
The program is part of a series of concerts celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam Connection Music Festival. This is one of the important milestones, affirming the position of the Hanoi Symphony Orchestra in the international classical music flow, and at the same time showing the persistent efforts in bringing academic music closer to the Vietnamese public./.
