Nearly 500 athletes compete in the Badminton Championship for all ages

Tonight, June 6, in Dong Ha City, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri in coordination with the Provincial Badminton Federation organized the opening ceremony of the 2025 Quang Tri Provincial Open Badminton Championship for all ages.

The tournament had nearly 500 athletes from 20 badminton clubs in the province and 4 badminton clubs from Quang Binh province and Hue city.

Athletes compete in 8 age groups: under 15 years old, 16-30 years old, 31-40 years old, 41-46 years old, 47-51 years old, 52-57 years old, 58 years old and above and the professional system with no age limit in 5 events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

The 2025 Quang Tri Provincial Open Badminton Championship for all ages will take place from June 5-8, 2025 at the Provincial Multi-purpose Gymnasium.

The tournament is organized to create conditions for amateur and professional athletes to have the opportunity to exchange, compete and improve their professional skills; build solidarity and mutual support between badminton clubs in and outside the province for mutual development.

Discover, select and train young and promising athletes to join the provincial badminton team, prepare forces to participate in national sports tournaments in the coming time; at the same time, continue to encourage and motivate people of all walks of life to actively participate in physical exercise, improve health, and contribute to promoting the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".
