In marriage, happiness is not only built from love, but also requires sharing and responsibility in financial management. When the habit of spending lavishly exceeds the ability to pay, family happiness will be at risk of cracking.
With the participation of actors Van Thanh, Nguyen Truong, Kim Quyen and Kien Bao, the episode "Wasteful Spending" in the series "Don't Let Regret" depicts a familiar but equally painful problem in married life.
The story revolves around Thu, a housewife who has a habit of shopping online, living a virtual life and spending money without control. Tri - Thu's husband - works hard, but his salary is spent by his wife before it even reaches his pocket. He reminded her many times but Thu ignored him, even comparing her husband to "other people's husbands".
One day, Tri discovered that the money for car repairs was gone because Thu had spent it all. During the conflict, Thu angrily went back to her mother's house. There, Mrs. Loan - Thu's mother - happened to listen to the bank's phone call and discovered that her daughter had accumulated a huge credit debt and was at risk of being sued. When the three of them sat down to talk, Thu panicked and begged her husband for forgiveness. At first, Tri was so angry that he wanted a divorce, but thanks to Mrs. Loan's advice and his wife's sincere repentance, he decided to give Thu another chance.
From this story, we can see that unplanned spending, shopping habits and virtual life can push the whole family into debt. Marital happiness is not built on selfish enjoyment, but on responsibility, self-control and sharing the financial burden together.
“Don’t Let Regret” airs regularly at 7:35 p.m. every Wednesday on THVL1 and rebroadcasts on THVL’s digital platforms. Each week, the program brings a realistic story, recreating real situations, sending profound messages so that viewers can contemplate how to calmly face situations.
