Located at an altitude of 2,000m above sea level, Y Ty is always covered in fog all year round. During the rice harvest season, Y Ty is covered in a golden color, stretching over the winding mountain slopes. Early in the morning in Y Ty, thick white clouds cover the mountains and forests, creating a magical scene like a fairyland.

The road to Y Ty is now more convenient than before, most suitable for high-chassis vehicles. Low-chassis vehicles can go but will have more trouble because some sections are under repair and paved with gravel. From Hanoi, visitors can take a sleeper bus to Lao Cai and then rent a motorbike to explore , or drive on their own along the route: Hanoi - Lao Cai - Ban Vuoc - Muong Hum - Y Ty.

Y Ty's cuisine is very diverse, visitors can enjoy a rustic meal with the host and learn about the unique local culture. Black chicken - a famous specialty of Y Ty, firm meat, crispy skin, can be processed into many dishes such as grilled, hot pot, or boiled with salt and pepper is a dish that visitors must try when coming to Y Ty. A pot of black chicken hot pot costs about 950,000 VND for 6 people, a pot of sturgeon hot pot costs 1.2 million VND, enough for a group of friends to sit and chat all day.
