The operation of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Creative Entrepreneurship is also an important step in concretizing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Lam Dinh Thang, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the project is expected to be a "bridge" between knowledge, creativity and startups, strongly promoting the connection between "State-School-Enterprise".

This is also a strategic step to realize the goal of bringing Ho Chi Minh City into the top 100 cities with the most dynamic innovation ecosystems globally.
Currently, the city has a solid foundation when it was ranked 110th globally by StartupBlink and for the first time entered the top 5 ecosystems in Southeast Asia.
The city's startup ecosystem is currently valued at 7.4 billion USD, attracting a total of 260 million USD in venture capital, gathering nearly 50% of the country's startups and being the starting place of many technology "unicorns".
Ho Chi Minh City also made its mark in many high-tech fields on the world map such as the global top 30 and top 2 in Southeast Asia for startups in the Blockchain field, and ranked 56th globally in finance.
At the event, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology and the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Creative Entrepreneurship signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with leading domestic and foreign partners.
This activity affirms Ho Chi Minh City's strong commitment to creating an open cooperative environment, attracting and effectively promoting elite resources to develop an innovation ecosystem.
These cooperation agreements will focus on the areas of core technology research and development, training high-quality human resources and building global supply chains, providing free technical support, research and development (R&D) for startups that meet the selection criteria, cooperating in selecting, developing, accelerating and expanding the market for potential startup projects...

Speaking at the program, Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy called on the creative startup community to make the most of the opportunities, preferential policies and working space provided by Ho Chi Minh City.
Research institutes and universities play a pioneering role in scientific research, training high-quality human resources and technology transfer.
