(Dan Tri) - Before the official announcement of the benchmark scores, many universities expected this year's benchmark scores to increase compared to 2024, up to 6 points.

According to information from Vietnam Aviation Academy, this year the number of candidates applying to the school has increased sharply compared to 2024.

Specifically, in 2024, there were more than 11,400 candidates registering for the school with more than 15,800 wishes, but this year, the number of registered candidates nearly doubled with 21,400 candidates and more than 37,700 wishes.

According to the school representative, due to the high number of candidates and wishes, the expected admission score this year is the lowest at 19 points compared to 16 points in 2024 and the highest is 27 points. Many majors may have an increase in admission score from 4 to the highest of 6 points.

The majors with the highest number of candidates registered are aviation trade, marketing, aviation engineering, flight operations management, airport management and exploitation, logistics, aviation economics ...

However, a representative of the Vietnam Aviation Academy said that this forecast is only based on the current situation, the official benchmark may change after 6 virtual filtering rounds of national admission.

At Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Dung, Director of Information Communications, based on this year's exam score distribution, as well as the trend of registration wishes in recent admission seasons, the expected admission score for the school in 2025 is expected to range from 15 to 21 points, depending on the admission method and major after converting the scores.

According to the high school graduation score review method, the standard score for majors is between 15-19 points, and the admission score based on academic records is between 18-21 points.

Thus, the expected admission score based on high school graduation scores is equivalent to the floor score previously announced by the school.

In 2024, the admission score of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology according to the high school graduation exam results will range from 16 to 21 points. The highest admission score for information technology and pharmacy is 21 points.

With more than 178,000 admission applications, 2.5 times higher than in 2024, Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade is the school with the largest number of admission applications in the country this year.

The two majors with the largest number of registered candidates are logistics and supply chain management and marketing.

However, Mr. Pham Thai Son, Admissions Director of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, said that up to this point, it is still very difficult to predict the admission score, we have to wait for the virtual filtering process.

The school has a large number of applications, but in reality, out of more than 178,000 applications, there are only more than 13,300 applications for the first option, more than 16,300 applications for the second option, and more than 17,100 applications for the third option, and more than 41,300 candidates registered for application from option 10 or more.

According to information from Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture, this year the school has more than 22,500 candidates registering for admission. Of these, there are more than 3,300 first-choice candidates, more than 3,500 second-choice candidates and more than 3,000 third-choice candidates.

Majors with many candidates registered include cultural management specializing in organizing cultural, sports and tourism events; cultural studies specializing in cultural communication; tourism and travel service management specializing in travel management; tourism...

In particular, the major of organizing cultural, sports and tourism events (under the cultural management sector) has a ratio of wishes to the number of recruitment targets of over 44 times. Just counting the number of wishes 1 alone is 9 times higher than the recruitment target.

The number of applications to the school has decreased slightly compared to 2024, while the target remains stable at 1,000 candidates and the school also maintains a stable admission method. According to the school, the expected admission score this year may not fluctuate compared to last year.

In 2024, the admission score to Ho Chi Minh City University of Culture ranges from 22 to 27.85 points, in which the major in cultural communication has the highest admission score.

The Ministry of Education and Training plans to carry out the virtual filtering process from August 17 to 20. The application data will be processed multiple times to ensure that candidates are only admitted to their highest application.

Once completed, schools will announce the benchmark scores one by one from the evening of August 20 and no later than 5:00 p.m. on August 22.

Before 5:00 p.m. on August 30, all admitted candidates must confirm their enrollment on the system (if they wish to study).
