According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) , President Kim Jong Un inspected strategic missile bases with his sister Kim Yo-jong and other officials, but did not specify the time of the inspection.

During the working trip, the leader inspected the strategic deterrence readiness capacity, which is directly related to national security, including the functions and capabilities of missile launch facilities at missile bases as well as combat missions of strategic missiles.

According to him, an important principle of North Korea's defense strategy is to "technically modernize the entire armed forces, giving priority to the strategic rocket force", because this weapon is the "core" of the Northeast Asian country's war deterrence force.

Chairman Kim Jong Un also stressed the need to "further modernize and consolidate strategic missile bases, and maintain the comprehensive counterattack capability of all bases so as to swiftly deliver strategic counterattacks to the enemy at any time and under any circumstances."

Meanwhile, Ms. Kim Yo Jong also issued a statement warning South Korea and Ukraine amid speculation that Pyongyang had sent troops to Russia to participate in a special military campaign.

KCNA quoted the North Korean leader's sister as saying: "A military provocation against a nuclear-armed state could lead to a terrible situation, unimaginable for politicians and military experts in any country big or small in the world."

She also accused Seoul and Kiev of "coordinating reckless remarks about nuclear-armed states," adding that Pyongyang was investigating details of the drones carrying anti-North Korean propaganda leaflets dropped in the capital area.

Claiming that South Korean officials were adding fuel to the fire and that this would lead to the risk of "destruction", Ms. Kim Yo-jong affirmed that no one would know "how and when" North Korea would retaliate.

South Korea and Ukraine have not yet commented on the above information.
