(Chinhphu.vn) - On the afternoon of September 6, the Da Nang City Party Committee held a conference to announce the decisions of the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat on personnel work.

On the afternoon of September 6, the Da Nang City Party Committee held a conference to announce the decisions of the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat on personnel work.

Attending the conference were Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung and Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Hoang Dang Quang.

At the conference, the Central Organizing Committee announced the Politburo's decision to appoint personnel to hold the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. Accordingly, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee, holds the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

The conference also announced the Secretariat's decision on mobilizing and appointing personnel to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Accordingly, the Secretariat decided to let comrade Pham Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, delegate of the 15th National Assembly, cease to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and cease to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province for the 2021-2026 term; mobilize and appoint him to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and introduce him to be elected as Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City for the 2021-2026 term.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Le Minh Hung, Head of the Central Organizing Committee, expressed his belief that with his experience, capacity and strengths, comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, together with the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee, will unite and successfully complete the assigned tasks, continuing to build and develop Da Nang City to become a new growth pole of the country.

According to comrade Le Minh Hung, facing the very high requirements in the new development stage, Da Nang City needs to focus and resolutely come up with solutions to overcome difficulties and challenges, take advantage of opportunities and advantages to develop in the new development stage.

Comrade Le Minh Hung noted that the time for the 23rd Da Nang City Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress is very close, the workload in the coming time is very large. The Politburo requested the Da Nang City Party Committee to continue to thoroughly grasp and concretize the Resolutions of the Central Committee, especially the 4 Resolutions of the Politburo.

According to comrade Le Minh Hung, on August 19, the Politburo worked and gave comments on the draft document to be submitted to the 23rd Congress of the Da Nang City Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030. In which, the directions and tasks for the term 2025 - 2030 requested by the Politburo are that the city continue to thoroughly grasp and concretize the resolutions of the Central Committee, focusing on the four resolutions of the Politburo on breakthroughs, the specific policies of the Central Committee to develop the city. Da Nang as directed by General Secretary To Lam on developing Da Nang into a growth pole of Vietnam, with high competitiveness in the Asia - Pacific region, playing a pioneering role, leading localities in the process of modern development; being a "national center of innovation, creativity, high technology and startups", pioneering in new fields such as: digital economy, circular economy, green economy, marine economy...

In his acceptance speech, the new Secretary of the City Party Committee, Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, expressed his emotion and honor at being entrusted by the Central Government with the important responsibility of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee. He affirmed that he would seriously accept the direction, deeply aware that this is both an honor and a great responsibility in working with the city's leadership to lead and direct the successful implementation of the task of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, meeting the high requirements of a dynamic urban area, a growth pole of the whole country and an economic, cultural and social center of the Central - Central Highlands region.

At the same time, Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet affirmed his determination to always uphold the spirit of being a role model, upholding principles, continuing and promoting the achievements and valuable experiences of previous generations, promoting courage, intelligence, creativity, seizing opportunities, overcoming difficulties and challenges to join the Party Committee, government and people of the city to successfully achieve development goals, contributing to the common cause of the country.

The new Secretary of the City Party Committee hopes to continue to receive close coordination, companionship and support from the Standing Committee, the City Party Executive Committee, all levels, sectors, cadres, party members and people of Da Nang, in order to best fulfill the assigned responsibilities, building Da Nang to be increasingly civilized, modern and prosperous.

Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet was born on October 15, 1976, hometown Duy An commune, Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province; professional qualifications: Master of Business Administration, Silicate Technology Engineer; advanced level in Political Theory.

He has held the following positions: Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union; Secretary of the Lien Chieu District Party Committee; Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation; Chief of the Da Nang City Party Committee Office; Secretary of the Hai Chau District Party Committee (Da Nang).

From October 2020 to December 2020, he held the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the 22nd Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. From December 2020 to January 2024, he was Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Council. At the 13th National Party Congress, he was elected as an alternate member of the Party Central Committee. On January 24, 2024, the Politburo assigned and appointed comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

On June 30, at the announcement ceremony of the Central Committee's decisions, Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (formerly) was appointed by the Prime Minister as the new Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Comrade Pham Duc An, born in 1970, hometown Thanh Long commune (Thanh Chuong district (old), Nghe An province). Advanced level of political theory; Bachelor of Economic Law, Bachelor of Banking-Finance, Master of Business Administration.

Comrade Pham Duc An has many years of experience in the banking industry, holding the positions of Party Secretary, Director of the Hung Yen Branch of the Bank for Investment and Development; Deputy General Director of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV); General Director of the Vietnam-Russia Joint Venture Bank (VRB); Chief of Office of the State Bank of Vietnam.

Since May 2020, comrade Pham Duc An has been Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Members of the Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development before being transferred and appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee on December 10, 2024.
