The Congress emphasized that rapid development creates resources for sustainable development and vice versa, sustainable development is a solid foundation for acceleration. These two factors must always be linked in all socio-economic planning, plans and policies.
Along with that, Resolution No. 57 of the Politburo identifies science, technology, innovation and digital transformation as core factors that determine the country's sustainable development and competitiveness in the international arena.

According to Filipe Alfaiate, executive director of the Nova SBE Public Policy Institute, science is not only a supporting tool but also a key driver for business transformation.
In the environmental arena, technology is helping to reduce the cost of producing sustainable products, such as organic foods, making them a popular choice rather than just for the elite.
It is also key to improving transparency and control in complex global supply chains, allowing businesses and consumers to clearly track the origins and ethical impacts of products in real time.
On the social front, technology opens up access to essential services such as health and education for people, especially for the poor or those in low-income countries. Innovative business models, supported by technology, can provide high-quality, accessible solutions that help break the cycle of poverty and promote inclusive development.
Finally, in the area of governance, technology increases transparency and efficiency in internal operations. It helps businesses measure, report and manage ESG risks more accurately, while fostering a corporate culture oriented towards sustainable purpose and value.
Vietnam ESG Forum 2025: A place where solutions converge
