According to data from the Provincial Statistics Office, Ha Tinh's CPI in August 2025 decreased by 0.37% compared to the previous month, mainly due to the price index of food and catering services decreasing by 0.79%, of which food decreased sharply by 1.25%.
The main reason for the decrease in this group's index is that the pork price index decreased by 4.56% due to the direct impact of African swine fever. When the epidemic broke out, consumer concerns caused pork consumption to be gloomy, and prices also decreased. As a result, the price index of animal organs decreased by 4.91%, frozen livestock meat decreased by 0.53%, and processed meat decreased by 0.8%.
In addition, some other groups of goods and services had price indexes decrease in August such as: housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials group decreased by 0.81%; transportation group decreased by 0.12% due to the impact of domestic gasoline price adjustments following world price fluctuations.

On the contrary, in August 2025, 5 commodity groups recorded an increase in price index, mainly due to the impact of seasonal factors, National Day holiday and high consumer demand when entering the new school year.
Specifically, the garment, footwear and hat group increased by 0.25%; the other goods and services group increased by 0.22%; the household equipment and appliances group increased by 0.15%; the education group increased slightly by 0.03%; and the culture, entertainment and tourism group increased by 0.02%.

On average, in the first 8 months of 2025, Ha Tinh's CPI increased by 4.04% over the same period last year. Of which: urban areas increased by 5.45%, rural areas increased by 3.43%. Of which, prices of food, foodstuffs, electricity, education services, and health services are the main factors affecting the increase in CPI.
The CPI in September 2025 is expected to be affected by seasonal factors, especially during the National Day holiday on September 2. Prices of food, beverages and out-of-home catering services tend to increase. In addition, the increase in fresh vegetable prices after storm No. 5 will also be a factor affecting the CPI this month.
