Speeding up the progress of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 through Tay Ninh

The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project (component 7) through Tay Ninh province has a total length of 6.37km, including 6 bridges, including 2 bridges on the expressway (Tan Buu bridge and Rach Rich bridge), 2 bridges on the parallel road (Tan Buu bridge, left branch and right branch) and 2 bridges at the end of the route intersection (overpass and U-turn bridge).

Currently, progress at the bid packages is closely following the plan.

The project has a total investment of more than VND 3,040 billion, and was started in June 2023. The total capital allocated to implement the project to date has reached VND 2,282 billion, including central and local capital. Of which, 100% of the capital plan for 2023 and 2024 has been disbursed. In 2025 alone, the capital allocated for the project is about VND 876.6 billion, of which about VND 269 billion has been disbursed to date, reaching more than 30.69%.

The progress of the packages is following the plan. According to the reporter's records, by the end of August 2025, in the medium and low voltage power relocation package, Nam Lap Phat Investment - Production - Trading - Service Co., Ltd. has completed 10/11 locations, reaching 51.29% of the output value. With the high voltage power line relocation package undertaken by Viet Energy Development Joint Stock Company, the implementation volume reached 18.75%, with 8/8 test piles and 64/64 mass piles completed.

Three main construction packages on the expressway have recorded many outstanding results. In package XL1, with a contract value of over VND536 billion, constructed by the joint venture of Dai A Chau Construction and Trading Production Company Limited - Delta Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company - Tan Hoang Long Investment, Construction and Trading Joint Stock Company, the weak ground treatment, pile drilling, processing of retaining wall panels and construction of most of the crushed stone and asphalt concrete pavement have been completed, with an output value of over 81%.

The Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 project through Tay Ninh province (component 7) is speeding up construction progress.

The XL2 package has a contract value of over VND902 billion and is constructed by a consortium of Tan Nam Construction Joint Stock Company, Nui Hong Joint Stock Company and IDICO Petroleum Construction Investment Joint Stock Company. Many bridge, parallel road and intersection items have been completed, with output reaching nearly 82%.

In package XL3, the contract value is over 431 billion VND, constructed by a consortium of Trung Thanh Investment and Construction Company Limited, Tam Son Investment Joint Stock Company and Thang Long Corporation - JSC. The overpass, turning bridge, and connecting branches are basically completed, with output value reaching nearly 82%.

In addition, the XL3A package (contract value of over VND 90 billion), XL5 package (contract value of over VND 116 billion) and XL4A package (contract value of over VND 137 billion) have been and are being implemented as planned. Many items such as asphalt concrete pavement, guardrail construction, separation, lighting system, cable trenches, etc. are being accelerated, of which some sections have been handed over for temporary traffic.

Notably, the site clearance for this project in Tay Ninh province has been completed, ensuring conditions for the contractor to focus on construction. Currently, there are no major problems affecting the progress.

The Long An Construction Investment Project Management Board said that to ensure the project is completed as committed, the unit regularly urges contractors to synchronously deploy technical solutions, speed up construction progress, and complete acceptance and payment documents according to regulations.

When completed and put into operation, the Beltway 3 section through Tay Ninh will connect seamlessly with Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces, opening up new development space, reducing the load on existing routes, and creating momentum for socio-economic development for the whole region./.
