Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh presents his credentials to King Frederik X of Denmark

King Frederik X welcomes Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh to his post in Denmark.

On June 17, at Christiansborg Palace, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Denmark Nguyen Le Thanh presented his credentials to King Frederik X. The ceremony was solemnly held according to Danish Royal protocol.

At the reception following the presentation of credentials, King Frederik X of Denmark sent his regards to the General Secretary,President and Vietnamese leaders.

Welcoming Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh to assume his new position at a time when Denmark-Vietnam relations are developing well in many areas, King Frederik X believes that the Ambassador will make many positive contributions to expanding and deepening the fields of cooperation between the two countries.

Happily sharing beautiful memories of his visits to Vietnam with the Danish Royal Family when he was Crown Prince, especially the visit in 2022, and his deep impressions of Vietnam's rapid and remarkable development, King Frederik X expressed his emotion at the affection and hospitality, the warm and sincere welcome that the Vietnamese leaders and people gave to the Danish Royal Family and the King himself.

King Frederik X highly appreciated Vietnam's development potential, including offshore wind power; was pleased that more and more Danish businesses were interested in the Vietnamese market and believed that the relationship between the two countries would continue to develop strongly.

Respectfully conveying the greetings of General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and other senior Vietnamese leaders to the King, Queen and Royal Family of Denmark, Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh expressed his honor to be assigned the important responsibility of being the Vietnamese Ambassador to Denmark in the context of the two countries effectively implementing the Strategic Partnership in the fields of climate change, energy, environment and green growth (established in 2011), Comprehensive Partnership (2013), Green Strategic Partnership (November 2023), looking forward to the 55th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations in 2026.

Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh emphasized that the friendship between the two peoples and the special affection that the King and the Danish Royal Family have for Vietnam are extremely valuable assets, contributing to nurturing and creating strong momentum to bring the relationship between the two countries to new heights.

Presenting the potential and directions for promoting cooperation between the two countries in the coming time, Ambassador Nguyen Le Thanh affirmed that he will do his best to contribute to consolidating and deepening the good relationship between Vietnam and Denmark on both bilateral and multilateral levels.

The Ambassador also believes that the two countries will continue to be sincere, trustworthy and effective companions, working closely together for a sustainable and prosperous future.
