The ship ran aground in February 2023, at Bai Thong, Vinh Truong village, Phuoc Dinh commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province. Since then, this has become a place attracting many tourists to check-in.
The ship is located about 500m from shore. When the water recedes, the "giant", rusty, old ship lies alone on the deserted beach, creating a unique scene that reminds many people of the setting in American or Korean movies.
The stranded ship, an old, long-defunct ship, lay motionless on the beach. Over the years, sea moss had grown on the hull, creating a smooth, green layer. Every time the tide went out, the ship stood out against the white sand, covered in green moss, creating an extremely impressive and beautiful scene.
This moss beach not only attracts photography enthusiasts but is also an ideal destination for those who want to find a peaceful space, away from the noise of the city. When standing from above looking down, visitors can see the entire abandoned ship blending with the green color of moss and the clear sea water, creating a magical natural picture.
Although it is a new and little-known tourist destination, the stranded ship moss beach in Ninh Thuan is gradually becoming a favorite destination for those who want to experience the peace and wild beauty of the ocean.
It is known that this ship is named Thanh Hung 06, owned by a real estate trading company. On the journey from Nhon Trach port - Dong Nai to Cam Ranh port - Khanh Hoa, the ship encountered an accident, then drifted and got stuck on the coast of Bai Thong. The ship had a punctured bottom, broken rudder, rusted and degraded hull and recently the hull cracked.
