Performance at the qualifying round of the 2023 Cicada Song Festival on July 29
This is a traditional activity of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training in collaboration with Dam Sen Water Park organized annually in the summer. The festival of the song groups "The Little Cicada" is one of the healthy and useful playgrounds and also an opportunity for song groups from schools throughout the city to introduce themselves and exchange and learn. This is the 4th year the festival has had the participation of secondary school students. The festival is considered a playground that contributes to promoting cultural and artistic activities, creating conditions for the development of artistic activities at schools.
At the opening ceremony on July 29, the organizing committee encouraged units to perform songs that demonstrate the heroic spirit and youthfulness of the city's student generation in studying, scientific research and participating in social activities; demonstrating the pioneering, dynamic and creative spirit of students in the city honored to be named after beloved Uncle Ho. At the same time, highlighting the love for the homeland, country, school, teachers, friends and affection for Ho Chi Minh City, expressing the dreams, aspirations and ambitions of generations of students in the city.
This year's festival attracted 76 student song groups to participate.
This year’s festival attracted 76 singing groups from middle school, high school and vocational training centers. In addition, according to the organizers, the highlight of this year’s festival is the expansion of Group C for video clip recording to increase creativity and attract the talents of today’s students.
This year's Cicada Song Festival is expected to attract 10,000 students, teachers and parents to attend the program.
