As the 2025-2026 National First Division and Cup season is about to start, Hoa Binh Club has also gathered since July to practice and prepare for the new season. However, in a recent document, the Club has requested to withdraw from the National First Division and Cup.
Regarding procedures, this team has completed the requirements of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) to be eligible to compete.
However, due to some unavoidable reasons, Hoa Binh Club had to suddenly withdraw and not compete.
Specifically, Hoa Binh Club pointed out the following force majeure reasons: Hoa Binh Club still does not represent Phu Tho province to compete in the First Division and National Cup in the 2025-2026 season, but proactively operates according to the Enterprise Law.

There is no Local Organizing Committee to organize matches in the 2025-2026 national professional tournaments. In particular, the province also requires the team to hand over to the province facilities related to the team's activities such as accommodation, stadiums and training grounds.
Previously, administratively, Hoa Binh province merged with the new name of Phu Tho province from July 1. According to the new administrative boundaries, Hoa Binh Club operates in Phu Tho province.
The team's representative company has proposed to the province to change the name to Phu Tho Football Club to be more appropriate, but the procedure has not been completed.
This makes Hoa Binh Club still operate with the old name as registered with VFF and VPF.
According to the original schedule, Hoa Binh Club will travel to Khanh Hoa on September 12 for the first round of the National Cup.
They will also have their first match in the First Division at PVF CAND Youth Stadium on September 21.
