President: Every victory of the nation originates from the strength of great solidarity

On the morning of August 24, at the International Convention Center, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a meeting of Party and State leaders with typical representatives of all walks of life nationwide to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

Attending the meeting were Politburo members: President Luong Cuong; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council Nguyen Xuan Thang. Also attending were Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Le Hoai Trung; Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh and leaders, former leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, socio-political organizations, mass organizations and 300 delegates representing all walks of life from 34 provinces and cities nationwide.

The conference is one of a series of extremely meaningful events, held on the occasion of the country's great holiday, demonstrating the attention of the Party, the State, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front to the important contributions of all classes of people in the cause of national construction and defense. At the conference, delegates watched the documentary film August Revolution and the lesson of promoting the strength of great national unity; at the same time, representatives of the typical delegates expressed their honor to attend the meeting; demonstrating the people's increasingly strong trust in the Party and State, creating great strength to successfully carry out all political tasks, building a rich and strong country.

The delegates also said that thanks to the good policies of the Party and State, people's lives have improved a lot compared to before; after 40 years of Renovation, the country has achieved great achievements; after nearly 2 months of implementing the two-level local government, many positive results have been achieved. Along with that is the joy and honor of overseas Vietnamese when turning to the Fatherland; the correct guidelines and policies of the Party and State on religion create a realistic picture of a rich, diverse and free religious life in Vietnam; ethnic minorities are always closely attached to the Vietnamese people, united and loyal to the Party and the Fatherland. People of all walks of life join hands to successfully achieve the goals set by the Party and State, especially the goals towards the 100th anniversary of the Party's founding and the 100th anniversary of the country's founding.

The representative also recommended that the Party and State continue to pay attention and have comprehensive and synchronous policies and guidelines covering disadvantaged areas, ethnic minority areas and ethnic groups with special characteristics; continue to remove difficulties and obstacles for overseas Vietnamese; strengthen training, fostering and support so that the two-level local government model can promote sustainable effectiveness...

Speaking at the Conference, President Luong Cuong emphasized that exactly 80 years ago, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the great President Ho Chi Minh, the entire Vietnamese people rose up to break the chains of slavery and abolish the colonial and feudal domination. On September 2, 1945, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the immortal Declaration, solemnly declaring to the entire nation and the world the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and from then on our country and people entered a new era - the era of independence, freedom and socialism.

To achieve great victories in the struggle for national liberation and unification in the past, as well as in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today, the President said that there was a resonance of many factors and one of the particularly important factors was Solidarity, as beloved Uncle Ho affirmed "people are the root", "A hundred times easier without people, we can endure - Ten thousand times harder, we can complete it with people". That is a great lesson in promoting the role and strength of the great national solidarity bloc, taking the Vietnam Fatherland Front as a typical form of organization, widely gathering all patriotic forces, turning the potential strength of the people into actual strength, creating all victories of the revolution.

The President emphasized that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnam Fatherland Front always plays a core political role, is a common home that gathers and unites social classes, ethnic groups, religions, Vietnamese people at home and abroad, creating the invincible strength of the great national unity bloc; at the same time, he affirmed that our Party, State and people deeply remember and appreciate the great contributions of social classes, organizations, individuals, businessmen, Vietnamese people at home and abroad; in which, the working class, farmers, and intellectuals, under the leadership of the Party, have formed the worker-farmer-intellectual alliance, which is a solid political-social foundation and pillar of the great national unity bloc.

The President pointed out that in the struggle for national liberation and unification, this alliance created a combined strength, becoming the core force that both directly fought with guns and was the great rear of the revolution. Entering the period of national construction and protection, the alliance continued to play a central role in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense, security and foreign affairs, leading patriotic emulation movements, promoting innovation, contributing to building and consolidating the strength of the entire nation for the goal of "rich people, strong country, fair, democratic and civilized society". Along with that, always standing shoulder to shoulder with workers - farmers - intellectuals to form a strong great solidarity bloc are the ethnic minorities, the steadfast children, loyal to the Party and the revolution.

In the joyful atmosphere of the historic August days, the entire Party, people and army all look forward to the great occasion, celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, the President expressed his emotion in remembrance and gratitude for the immense merit of beloved Uncle Ho - who devoted his whole life to the people and nation of Vietnam; forever remembering the noble sacrifices and great contributions of previous leaders, heroic martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers, heroes of the people's armed forces, heroes of labor, war invalids, sick soldiers, people from all walks of life, ethnic groups, religions, businessmen and overseas Vietnamese in the revolutionary cause of national liberation, gaining independence, building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Affirming that every victory of the nation originates from the strength of great solidarity, unanimity, and unceasing dedication of all classes of people under the wise leadership of the Party, the President said that entering a new era, facing great opportunities and fortunes, but also full of challenges, it is necessary to promote more strongly the spirit of patriotism, intelligence, and aspiration to rise of the entire nation, continue to honor, spread, and promote the great role of the working class, farmers, intellectuals, people of all ethnic groups, religions, businessmen and overseas Vietnamese in the cause of building a rich, prosperous, civilized and happy country.

In the context that the entire Party, people and army are striving to overcome all difficulties and challenges, taking advantage of all opportunities and chances, confidently entering a new era - the era of strong, prosperous and happy development of the Vietnamese people, the President said that the country is resolutely implementing three strategic breakthroughs in institutions; in training high-quality human resources; in building modern and synchronous infrastructure and at the same time focusing on implementing the revolution of streamlining, improving the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the apparatus in the political system; organizing the implementation of the two-level local government model and synchronously implementing breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; promoting comprehensive and extensive international integration; making breakthroughs in law making and enforcement; and developing the private economy, considering the private economy as the most important driving force of the national economy.

During that journey, according to the President, the lessons of patriotism, revolutionary spirit, solidarity and dedication of previous generations still hold true today and tomorrow; at the same time, he believes that with the steadfast revolutionary spirit, experience, steadfast political will and high prestige that have been forged over the years, the typical representatives of all walks of life present today will be shining examples, continuing to contribute their enthusiasm, intelligence and experience to the cause of building and firmly defending the beloved Vietnamese Fatherland.

The President requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front to continue to promote its core political role in building and consolidating the invincible strength of the great national unity bloc; constantly innovate the content and methods of operation to gather, rally, and widely unite all classes of people, compatriots of all ethnic groups, religions, businessmen, and overseas Vietnamese; strongly arouse patriotism, self-reliance, and development aspirations, build trust, and create social consensus; promote the intelligence, resources, and role of the people in the cause of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The President also requested that the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels be more proactive and creative in promoting the role and intelligence of typical collectives and individuals from all walks of life, ethnic and religious people, businessmen and overseas Vietnamese, contributing to educating traditions, fostering revolutionary ideals and arousing the aspirations of the young generation to contribute to the glorious revolutionary cause of the nation in the new era.

On this occasion, leaders of the Party, State and Vietnam Fatherland Front presented gifts to delegates to recognize and encourage typical examples who have made contributions to building the great national unity bloc.
