In recent days, the news that Chi Pu sang "See Tinh" - Hoang Thuy Linh's hit song at the show Dap Gio 2023 in China without permission has caused a stir in public opinion.
The source of the problem started when, on May 25, Chi Pu and Ella, Truong Gia Nghe, and Ngo Thien's performances could not be viewed on the show's online viewing page or on YouTube, but were only shown on Weibo.
Chi Pu's fanpage posted an article, mentioning the Chinese name of "See love" as "Ting Ting Tang Tang"
Meanwhile, in her post on her personal fanpage, Chi Pu did not mention the original name of the song but only mentioned the Chinese name of "See Love" as "Ting Ting Tang Tang".
Giao thong Newspaper contacted Chi Pu to clarify the incident, however Chi Pu's manager said: "Regarding this incident, we do not have any further information."
Meanwhile, Hoang Thuy Linh's representative refused to comment and said that all information related to the incident will be handled by the song's publisher.
Chi Pu and Hoang Thuy Linh have not responded to rumors related to the copyright of the song "See love".
Previously, Chi Pu was chosen by Ella (who ranked first after round one) to join the performance group "See love" in round 2 of Dap Gio 2023.
In this episode, the organizers introduce that since its release in 2022, the song has reached more than 800 million plays on Chinese music platforms. Virtual singer Lac Thien Y covers it with a new name - "Dingding dangdang", imitating the "tinh tinh tang tang" sound in the original song.
"See Tinh" version of Dap Gio 2023 basically retains the youthful, lovely and energetic spirit of the original without changing too much in terms of music. However, some audiences still expect a more explosive and outstanding version in this mix.
