(Baothanhhoa.vn) - The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting's forecast bulletin issued at 9:00 p.m. on August 22 forecasts that from tonight and tomorrow morning (August 23), provinces from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri are warned of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong gusts of wind.

Today (August 22), the mountainous areas of the North will have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain. The rainfall from 7am to 8pm on August 22 was over 30mm in some places.

From the night of August 22 to the morning of August 23: The mountainous areas of the North will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms (20-40mm, locally very heavy rain over 100mm). Risk of heavy rain: >80mm/3h.

Other places in the North, from Thanh Hoa to Quang Tri, have scattered showers and thunderstorms (10-30mm, locally heavy rain over 70mm). Risk of heavy rain: >60mm/3h.

Thunderstorms may occur: tornadoes, lightning, hail, strong gusts of wind.
