Universities announce 2025 benchmark scores

Dozens of universities have announced their benchmark scores for 2025, ranging from 15 to 28.19/30, the highest being in the Information Technology sector, University of Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Admissions experts note that the benchmark scores between schools are not equivalent. The reason is that according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training , benchmark scores of all methods are converted to a common scale (mainly a scale of 30). Each school has a different conversion formula.

For example, the admission score for Logistics at school A is 27 and at school B is 28 does not necessarily mean that the original score of the candidate for school B is higher than school A, but it may be due to the difference in the conversion coefficient of the two schools.

Successful candidates must confirm their admission on the Ministry's system before 5:00 p.m. on August 30. If they skip this step without a valid reason, their results will be canceled.

In addition, universities often have admission plans with different requirements, posted on websites, official fanpages or sent to candidates via email, phone number, notice... Candidates need to pay attention to complete all procedures.

From September 1 to December 2025, schools that do not meet their quota can recruit additional students. Candidates will be considered for additional admission if they do not pass the entrance exam or do not confirm enrollment in any school.

This year, of the 1.16 million high school graduation candidates, nearly 850,000 applied for university admission, with a total of about 7.6 million wishes. On average, each student has nearly 9 wishes, a sharp increase compared to previous years.
