
Informing the press, Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien said that the Committee is proposing to the higher authority that the Overseas Vietnamese Delegation will participate in the 80th Anniversary of Vietnam's National Day. This activity meets the wishes of the majority of overseas Vietnamese who want to directly participate in important events and national festivals; showing gratitude and respect for the role and contributions of overseas Vietnamese in the cause of resistance for national independence and the current socio-economic development.
Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is coordinating with relevant agencies to actively prepare and be ready for the organization of the overseas Vietnamese delegation to ensure the success of the Celebration.
In addition, a training course on Vietnamese language teaching for overseas Vietnamese teachers is scheduled to take place from August 13 to 28 in Hanoi and some neighboring localities. The program will have the participation of 80 students from 15 countries and territories. The training course aims to improve the teaching quality, professional qualifications, and pedagogical skills of overseas Vietnamese teachers in teaching Vietnamese according to the curriculum specifically for overseas Vietnamese.
Along with that, the Closing Ceremony of the Vietnamese Language Honor Day in the Vietnamese Community Abroad in 2025 is scheduled to take place on August 14, in Hanoi, in a combination of in-person and online formats. The Closing Ceremony focuses on evaluating the results of implementing activities in response to the Vietnamese Language Honor Day in 2024-2025; discussing and proposing directions for implementation in the coming time. Notably, the Gala of Dear Vietnamese Language and the Award Ceremony of the Contest to Find Vietnamese Language Ambassadors Abroad are scheduled to be held on August 21 with the theme: "The river flows forever connecting all directions". Honoring and promoting the Vietnamese language, this theme evokes the image of the Vietnamese language as an enduring flow of history, culture and national soul, constantly spreading through space and time.
Information about the Training Course for Leaders of Overseas Vietnamese Associations in 2025, taking place from August 28 to 31, in Hanoi, the Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese said that the program demonstrates the attention of the Party and State in working with overseas Vietnamese as well as the consistent policy on great national unity in the spirit of Resolution 36-NQ/TW: "Overseas Vietnamese are an inseparable part and a resource of the Vietnamese ethnic community", contributing to building a stable, successful, strongly united overseas Vietnamese community, actively contributing to the cause of national revival.
This activity also responds to the sentiments and aspirations of overseas Vietnamese who want the Party and State to support, consolidate, build and develop overseas Vietnamese associations and mobilize the overseas Vietnamese community. At the same time, it improves the effectiveness of managing and organizing association activities, fosters some necessary skills and experiences in association work through lectures by experts, discussions and exchanges of practical experiences with experts and leaders of associations in the localities.
Within the framework of the program, the program will provide some information on the domestic situation and foreign policy, functions, tasks and organizational structure of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese; overseas Vietnamese communities and associations, connections with the country; legal issues of Vietnam and other countries...
