- On September 9, 2025, the Department of Agriculture and Environment held a training conference to foster knowledge in organizing and implementing the improvement and enhancement of the Provincial Green Index (PGI) in 2025 and the following years in the province.
Attending the conference were representatives of a number of departments, branches, communes, wards and a number of relevant agencies and units in the province.
At the conference, a reporter from the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) presented a number of contents revolving around four assessment criteria: Minimizing pollution and natural disasters; ensuring compliance; promoting green practices; incentive policies and support services.
Along with that, the reporter analyzed and evaluated the PGI index of Lang Son province over the years, and at the same time proposed solutions to improve and enhance the PGI index in 2025 and the following years.
Also at the conference, delegates presented the current status of PGI implementation in the area. At the same time, they made recommendations and solutions to overcome difficulties and shortcomings in implementing PGI.
Through the conference, representatives of departments, branches, communes and wards have more information and knowledge about the PGI index. From there, they can apply it specifically to the implementation of tasks of agencies and units to improve and enhance the component indicators of the PGI index set in the province.
The Provincial Green Index (PGI) is a set of indicators that evaluate and rank the quality of local environmental governance from the perspective of business practices such as the level of application of environmentally friendly technology by enterprises, the level of management and environmental behavior of enterprises, the level of concern and willingness to invest in environmental issues by local authorities, and many other important environmental issues. | |
