The Ministry of Education and Training requires proactive response to natural disasters during the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.

(LĐ online) - The Minister of Education and Training (MOET) has issued Official Dispatch No. 838/CD-BGDĐT to the Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities on proactively implementing plans to respond to natural disasters during the 2025 High School Graduation Exam.

Heavy rain has also caused many difficulties for Lam Dong candidates in the 2024 High School Graduation Exam.

According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, in the next 24-48 hours, the mountainous and midland areas of the North will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, some places will have very heavy rain with common rainfall from 40-90mm, some places over 200mm. During the exam period, many areas across the country are also likely to experience unusual weather phenomena such as showers, thunderstorms, hot weather, landslides, flooding... affecting the organization of the exam.

Faced with that situation, the Minister of Education and Training requested the Provincial Steering Committee for the 2025 exam to direct relevant units to synchronously deploy solutions to prevent and combat natural disasters, ensuring that the exam takes place safely, seriously, and in accordance with regulations.

Specifically, it is necessary to regularly monitor and promptly update weather forecasts, maintain close contact with the Command Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue at all levels, and proactively prepare response plans when incidents occur.

The Ministry of Education and Training also requested localities to review and develop plans to ensure exam safety according to the "4 on-site" motto (on-site command, on-site forces, on-site means, on-site logistics), especially for areas at risk of flooding, landslides, and isolation.

Along with that, there needs to be a plan to support exam invigilators and candidates who live far away or have to travel through dangerous areas, especially rivers, streams, ferries, etc., to ensure that all candidates arrive at the exam site on time and in absolute safety.

In addition, localities must strengthen sanitation and disinfection at examination sites, promptly clean up classrooms after storms, ensure safety, cleanliness and disease prevention during the examination period.
