In the period of 2021 - 2025, the total capital mobilized from the state budget to implement 3 national target programs in Bat Xat district is more than 1,409 billion VND.
Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, up to now, Bat Xat district has 8/20 communes meeting new rural standards; an average of 16 criteria/commune according to the Criteria Set for the period 2016 - 2020. Assessed according to the Criteria Set for the period 2021 - 2025, it is estimated that by the end of 2025, an average of 11.4 criteria/commune will be achieved; 33 villages will be recognized as new rural villages; 28 villages will be recognized as model villages.
Regarding the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, the program's targets and objectives have basically been achieved and exceeded the set plan. It is estimated that by the end of 2025, the district will have reduced 4,643 poor households, the poverty reduction rate will reach 6.65%, exceeding 166% compared to the target of the District Party Congress Resolution; maintaining 21/21 internet access points, telecommunications network infrastructure with mobile coverage to 100% of commune centers and over 98% of villages; 90% of poor and near-poor households have access to clean water; more than 80% of poor and near-poor households use clean toilets...
Regarding the National Target Program on Socio -Economic Development for Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, in 2024, Bat Xat has 25/29 targets that have completed the set plan, many of which have exceeded...
Implementing Resolution 50-NQ/TU, dated July 3, 2024 of the Standing Committee of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee on supporting housing construction for households with revolutionary contributions, martyrs' relatives; poor households, near-poor households by 2025, with high political determination and many flexible and specific solutions, by the end of May 2025, Bat Xat district has completed the elimination of 2,906 temporary and dilapidated houses, reaching 100% of the set plan.
At the conference, delegates discussed many ideas to clarify the achieved results, shortcomings, limitations and proposed solutions to synchronously implement the 3 national target programs in the communes in the coming time.
Speaking at the conference, comrade Vu Van Cai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged and commended the efforts of Bat Xat district in implementing the national target programs and Resolution 50 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and affirmed that those results have contributed to comprehensively changing the rural appearance of the district.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized that in the coming time, the newly merged communes need to continue to be creative, highly determined, and make efforts to successfully implement national target programs in the area, improving people's lives.
On this occasion, the People's Committee of Bat Xat district awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with achievements in implementing the emulation movement to implement the National Target Program, period 2021 - 2025 and the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" by 2025 in Bat Xat district.
