According to VGC , many fans are reporting that the options to enable ray tracing and HDR have been removed from the Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes on Steam.

Accordingly, in a discussion thread on the Resident Evil 3 Steam page, user 'DendeThe1st' claimed that after the update, the option to enable ray tracing was removed from the game. Shortly after, several other players also confirmed this report, stating that the issue also affected the Resident Evil 2 remake.

Additionally, some players have also reported that HDR graphics in both games are not working properly in some cases. There is currently no way to roll back to an earlier version of the game, and Capcom has yet to acknowledge the issue.

Capcom's two well-received PC remakes have run into issues in the past, forcing the developer to allow players to rollback updates.

However, there has also been a welcome change for PC players, as the controversial Denuvo DRM software was removed from the Steam version of Resident Evil Village this week.
