Bac Ninh plans to develop more than 50 industrial parks, of which more than 20 are currently in operation. There are currently nearly 25,000 enterprises operating in the province, creating jobs for about 780,000 workers, of which 552,000 are in industrial parks.

While technical production requires specialized knowledge, the supporting industry (office) is a fertile ground for people with general skills. From accounting, administration - human resources, customs declaration, purchasing, to occupational safety and environmental (EHS) staff... these are all positions with continuous recruitment needs. The advantage of this industry group is that it is possible to study and change careers quickly and flexibly between businesses. This is also a field with a clear career path, especially when workers are equipped with soft skills and foreign language ability to work with international partners.
Previously, most of Bac Ninh's children, after graduating from university, wanted to find job opportunities at businesses, often stayed in the capital Hanoi or went to localities with developed industries and services such as Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hai Phong ... However, in recent years, many people have chosen to return to their hometown to start a career. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, born in 1998, got married in early 2025. After graduating from university, she and her husband both worked in Hanoi for a while, but then they decided to return to their hometown Bac Ninh to work at Yen Phong Industrial Park. "Although my salary in Bac Ninh is a bit lower than in Hanoi, I work close to home so I don't need to rent a place to stay, the cost of living is reasonable and transportation is much more convenient. Thanks to that, we not only save a lot every month, but also have more time for our family, making it easier to balance work and life" - Ms. Huong shared.
Highly competitive - promotes individual progress
The labor market in Bac Ninh seems to be very open, but in reality it is not easy for everyone, especially young graduates. In 2023, Mr. Pham Minh Duc (born in 2000 in Kinh Bac ward) graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology. He applied for jobs at many companies in the province's industrial parks but still could not find a suitable job. Realizing that his problem was limited foreign language skills, he spent about a year studying to improve his English communication skills. He has now found a satisfactory job at a company in Yen Phong Industrial Park.

Enterprises are always "thirsty" for high-quality human resources to meet development requirements. In addition to the province's employment service centers, there are currently a number of private companies specializing in human resources recruiting workers for enterprises. According to data from the Employment Service Center No. 2 of Bac Ninh province, in 2023, enterprises with high-skilled labor needs accounted for about 15% of the total number of workers needed to be recruited. By 2024, this number had increased to nearly 25%. In the first eight months of 2025, it was 20%. In addition, the number of employees applying for positions requiring high-skilled workers has also increased gradually. Depending on the nature of the job, there are from 7 to 10 candidate profiles for a position to be recruited. However, enterprises' recruitment still faces many difficulties because many candidates, although meeting the requirements of professional qualifications, are limited in foreign languages or other soft skills. Increasingly fierce competition and high demands from businesses are the mechanisms that promote personal progress, requiring each worker to continuously improve themselves to adapt to the modern working environment. Ms. Hoang Thi Bien (born in 1997, from Thanh Hoa ), used to be a seasonal worker in Bac Ninh. Realizing the opportunity to improve her job position, she decided to learn more Chinese and management skills. Thanks to her perseverance, she has a stable position at a large company in Tien Son Industrial Park. She is currently continuing her studies from college to university. "I am trying to complete my degree to be more proactive in my work" - Ms. Bien shared.
Ms. Mong Thi Hong Anh (born in 2000, in Thai Nguyen province), graduated from Hanoi Foreign Trade University in 2022 and worked at a number of FDI enterprises in Van Trung Industrial Park and Quang Chau Industrial Park as an interpreter. She can speak both English and Korean fluently, but she proactively learned more about human resource management. She currently has a fairly solid position as an operations manager in a FDI enterprise with investment capital from Korea.
With a strong business ecosystem and many preferential policies on labor and employment, Bac Ninh has been, is and will be an attractive destination for high-quality labor. That will also contribute to the goal of improving the quality of human resources in the province.
