According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 7:00 a.m. on September 6, the center of the tropical depression was at about 17.7 degrees North latitude - 117.6 degrees Longitude, in the northeastern sea of ​​the East Sea.

The strongest wind is level 7 (50 - 61 km/h), gusting to level 9. Moving northwest, speed 10 - 15 km/h.

At 7:00 a.m. on September 7, the tropical depression moved northwest at a speed of 10 - 15 km/h, with the potential to strengthen into a storm. The forecast location is at 19.4 degrees North latitude - 115.1 degrees East longitude, about 430 km northeast of Hoang Sa archipelago. Strong winds of level 8, gusts of level 10. At 7:00 a.m. on September 8, the storm continued to move northwest at a speed of about 15 km/h and strengthened. The location is at 21.8 degrees North latitude - 112 degrees East longitude, on the coastal area of ​​Guangdong province (China). Strong winds level 9, gusts level 11. The affected area is the northern part of the East Sea. Disaster risk level 3,

During the next 48–72 hours, the storm will move in a West Northwest direction at a speed of about 15 km/h.

Due to the impact of the tropical depression/storm, the northeastern sea area of ​​the East Sea has strong winds of level 6, later increasing to level 7-8, gusting to level 10; waves 2-4m high, rough seas. Ships operating in the danger zone are likely to be affected by storms, whirlwinds, strong winds and big waves.

In response to the above situation, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment has just issued Official Dispatch No. 6408/CD-BNNMT to the People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Dak Lak; the Ministries of National Defense, Public Security, Construction, Industry and Trade, Foreign Affairs, Science and Technology; Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television, and Voice of Vietnam on responding to the tropical depression in the East Sea.

Accordingly, to proactively respond to the tropical depression, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment requested ministries, branches and People's Committees of coastal provinces and cities from Quang Ninh to Dak Lak to closely monitor the developments of the tropical depression; strictly manage means of transport going out to sea; organize counting and notify owners of means of transport, captains of ships and boats operating at sea of ​​the location, direction of movement and developments of the tropical depression to proactively avoid, escape or not move into the dangerous area. Dangerous area in the next 24 hours: From latitude 16-21 degrees North, longitude 113.5-119 degrees East (dangerous area is adjusted in forecast bulletins).

Ministries, sectors and localities are ready with forces and means for rescue when required. Ministries and sectors, according to their functions, state management tasks and assigned tasks, proactively direct and coordinate with localities to respond to tropical depressions.

Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television, Voice of Vietnam, the coastal information station system and mass media agencies from central to local levels should increase information on the developments of the tropical depression to authorities at all levels, owners of means of transport operating at sea and people to proactively prevent and respond.

The above units organize serious duty and regularly report to the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment (through the Department of Dyke Management and Disaster Prevention and Control).
