From a vocalist in a rock band, singer Do Hoang Hiep has had a challenging journey to become a solo artist at the age of 39. He not only overcame difficult times but also had the honor of bringing his voice to serve the grand celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, affirming his spirit of unceasing dedication.

Pride to perform on the great national holiday

These days, singer Hoang Hiep and other artists are busy preparing for performances for the A80 ceremony.

Specifically, at the special national concert: 80 years of the journey of independence - freedom - happiness taking place on the evening of September 1 at My Dinh Stadium, the male singer will participate in the performance of Cung nhau di hong binh - Doan ve quoc quan .

On September 2, Hoang Hiep will march through Ba Dinh Square with artists from the Culture - Sports Block, then he will participate in a leading part in the art performance of the program on the morning of September 2.

Within the framework of the A80 ceremony, Do Hoang Hiep participated in many meaningful activities. He had the opportunity to attend the ceremony to report to Uncle Ho at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, receive Uncle Ho's badge at the Presidential Palace and visit where Uncle Ho lived and worked.

"Those experiences made me feel like I was returning to the most sacred roots of my nation. I couldn't help but feel moved and more deeply aware of the responsibility of an artist," the male singer confided.

Mr. Do Hoang Hiep, People's Artist Nguyen Xuan Bac and rapper Den Vau participated in the activity of visiting the place where Uncle Ho used to live and work.

Do Hoang Hiep said that the most emotional and proud moment for him was when he sang under the national flag at this historic square.

"Music on major holidays is not simply art, but also has a sacred meaning: honoring the sacrifices of previous generations, spreading the spirit of solidarity. For me, standing on stage during those moments is both an honor and a responsibility," he shared.

After witnessing the heroic atmosphere of the parade rehearsal, Do Hoang Hiep felt the patriotic atmosphere surging in every eye and face of the Vietnamese people.

"From those moments, many new sources of inspiration have arisen within me. I believe that in the future, I will sing more and compose more about my homeland, the country and the people of Vietnam," he affirmed.

"Family" of 33 talented people overcoming thousands of obstacles

"I didn't think or calculate much, I just thought that when God gave me an opportunity, I had to take it and do my best. And indeed, this was a big, unexpected turning point in my life," he shared.

In the show, Do Hoang Hiep is famous for being the "brother" with the most nicknames. He revealed: "If I had to write all my nicknames after the show, it would probably fill an A4 page."

However, the name "Hiep Let" has the most meaning to Hoang Hiep, because he "crawls" from one round to another, one team to another but with a spirit of never giving up.

Participating in the reality show was a valuable experience, helping him challenge himself in many new aspects, learn how to open up and connect with people.

"Most importantly, I have an additional family called the 'family of 33 talented people' who are always united and help each other," he said.

Do Hoang Hiep considers himself a "happy, sociable" artist. Currently, his musical orientation is "unlimited, not allowing himself to be constrained by any framework". He will focus on perfecting the songs he has composed before in a more meticulous manner and cherish a new musical product.

"Reborn from zero" at the age of 39

Do Hoang Hiep became a solo singer at the age of 39. This was not an easy decision, forcing him to face a big challenge when embarking on the journey of "rebirth from zero", especially when he did not have many of his own songs.

"When I can no longer use the songs that have been with me for a long time, I cannot help but feel disappointed and sad," Hiep confided.

However, he chose to face it more positively, confident in himself because he also had many personal compositions but had not had the opportunity to release them.
