Two female scientists receive Kovalevskaia Prize

On the afternoon of March 7, at the Government Office , Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai and former Vice President, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education, President of the Kovalevskaia Award Committee Nguyen Thi Doan presented the 2023 Kovalevskaia Award to two female scientists.

Among them, Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Thai Hoa, Head of the Faculty of Agronomy, University of Agriculture and Forestry ( Hue University), is the person who has presided over many projects and topics with high applicability. She has owned 2 exclusive patents for useful solutions on the process of producing organic fertilizer from livestock waste after biogas fermentation and the process of producing biological foliar fertilizer from aquatic plants.

Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Viet Ha, Director of the Institute of Oceanography , Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, is the first Vietnamese person to research the nature, origin and mechanism of accumulation of natural toxins in marine organisms. With the main research direction being biochemistry, marine toxins, food safety and marine environment, bioactive substances from marine organisms, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Viet Ha is the main author of many works and useful solutions in the research field.
