On the evening of September 4, the quarter-final matches ended, helping to determine the four teams that won tickets to the semi-finals of the 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship.

In the match between the Brazilian and French women's volleyball teams, the two teams gave a thrilling chase. France showed that their elimination of the championship candidate China in the previous round was not at all a matter of luck.

The team from Europe showed balance in both attack and defense. Captain Helena Cazaute continued to be the soul of the French team. She alone scored 20 points in this match.

However, Brazil is still the more experienced and courageous team. Although they were in a difficult situation many times, the South American representative still managed to stand up in time. In the first set, the two teams fought each other for a long series of points and Brazil won narrowly 27-25.

In set 2, the tug-of-war was even more intense. The French women's volleyball team led 19-15 at one point but were still tied 19-19.

The European representative then reached set-points such as 25-24, 26-25, 27-26... but could not take advantage. Brazil was too alert and did not panic, so they successfully saved the points and then won a dramatic victory 33-31.

With high spirits and abundant physical strength, they won 25-19 and entered the semi-finals.

Meanwhile, the much-anticipated clash between the US and Turkey somewhat disappointed fans. The 2014 World Champion and 2021 Olympic Champion, the US, played completely outclassed and underpowered.

Türkiye with two powerful scorers Karakurt and Vargas was too strong. They contributed greatly to bring about an easy victory 3-1 (25-14, 22-25, 25-14, 25-23).

Thus, the four teams that have won tickets to the semi-finals of the 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship have been determined to be Italy, Japan, Türkiye and Brazil. In which, Japan will face Türkiye.

The other semi-final will be a battle between world number one Italy and world number two Brazil. The tournament will take a one-day break and resume on September 6.
