The Military Institute of Preventive Medicine is the leading scientific and technical center at the end of the preventive medicine system in the entire army, with the tasks of disease prevention, biological warfare prevention, environmental monitoring, food hygiene and safety, HIV/AIDS prevention and control, population work and family planning; scientific research, biomedical technology development; training, coaching and international cooperation in specialized fields. Over the years, the Institute has proactively grasped the situation of infectious diseases, promptly detected outbreaks and implemented effective prevention measures; participated in ensuring medical care at many important events, maintaining epidemiological safety and hygiene for units in the entire army.

Since the beginning of 2024, the Institute has tested thousands of samples of specimens, water samples, food samples; organized many working groups to monitor HIV/AIDS, prevent epidemics, etc. In addition, it has carried out scientific research projects, achieved high achievements in the Army Creative Youth Award; at the same time, implemented international cooperation, contributing to improving professional capacity, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Concluding the inspection, Lieutenant General Tran Minh Duc praised the efforts and achievements of the Military Preventive Medicine Institute in professional work, scientific research and training. He requested that in the coming time, the Institute continue to promote its role as the last line of the military preventive medicine sector, proactively forecast and monitor epidemics; focus on researching and applying new technologies, improving the quality of epidemic prevention, ensuring food hygiene and safety, environmental sanitation; strengthen international cooperation, and train high-quality human resources. At the same time, the Institute needs to promote digital transformation in management, research and epidemiological surveillance, towards building a modern and standardized military preventive medicine system, contributing to caring for, protecting and improving the health of soldiers and people.
