On the morning of September 11, General Secretary To Lam chaired a working session of the Politburo with the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee to give opinions on draft documents, personnel plans and preparations for the 1st National Assembly Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

At the working session, the Politburo listened to the representative of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee report on the drafting of documents and personnel plans for the 2025-2030 term, and report on receiving and explaining comments from central committees, ministries and branches.

Drafts and personnel plans are carefully prepared and in accordance with regulations.

The Politburo highly appreciated the draft documents and personnel plans that were carefully, seriously, elaborately, scientifically prepared by the National Assembly Party Committee, in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the Central Committee.

The content of the draft document has thoroughly grasped the major viewpoints and orientations in the draft document of the 14th National Party Congress, the resolutions, conclusions and directives of the Party Central Committee and the Politburo and is close to the practical situation of the Party Committee; the basic personnel plan ensures the structure, quantity, standards and conditions according to regulations.

Politburo members basically agreed with the draft documents submitted to the Congress by the National Assembly Party Committee, and gave their enthusiastic, responsible, and profound comments to supplement and perfect the Congress documents.

Concluding the working session, General Secretary To Lam requested the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee to absorb the opinions of Politburo members and reasonable comments from central departments, ministries and branches to complete documents and personnel plans, and continue to carefully prepare for the successful organization of the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

The General Secretary emphasized that in the coming term, the National Assembly Party Committee needs to focus on organizing and implementing a number of tasks well.

Specifically, leading the promotion of Party building work, building a clean and strong National Assembly Party Committee in all aspects, focusing on Party building in terms of politics, ideology, ethics, personnel work, inspection, supervision, Party discipline, and mass mobilization work.

Continue to enhance Party spirit in the activities of the National Assembly; innovate the leadership method of the National Assembly Party Committee according to the new model.

At the same time, actively and urgently concretize the Party's guidelines, policies, and strategies, especially the timely development and institutionalization of the Politburo's resolutions in a number of recently issued fields into mechanisms, legal policies, and implementation in practice.

Timely reflect and report to the Party Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat the people's opinions and recommendations on national development in order to contribute to orienting the Party's guidelines, lines, and policies to be close to reality, meeting the requirements of national development in the new era.

Election of deputies to the new National Assembly and People's Councils must ensure democracy, without ostentation or formality.

The General Secretary requested to focus on leading and directing the successful election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The General Secretary emphasized the need for leadership to perform well the constitutional and legislative functions.
