During his first visit as head of government and the first visit to India by a Vietnamese Prime Minister in 10 years, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation received a warm, respectful, thoughtful and friendly welcome from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian friends.

In just 2 days, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had more than 20 diverse and rich activities with different circles and fields. In particular, the Prime Minister had talks and meetings with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian President Droupadi Murmu, Chairman of the Indian Senate Jagdeep Dhankhar, and Speaker of the Indian House of Representatives Om Birla.

The Prime Minister also met with leaders of several Indian political parties; attended Vietnam-India business forums; worked with leaders of leading Indian economic groups; delivered policy speeches at the Indian Council of World Affairs; visited the Embassy and met with representatives of the Vietnamese community in India...

Along with reviewing the bilateral relationship over the past time, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Indian leaders analyzed and proposed directions to deepen the Vietnam - India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

In which, the two sides agreed to adopt the Joint Statement on Strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the direction of “5 more”: Higher political and strategic trust; Deeper defense and security cooperation; More substantive and effective economic, trade and investment cooperation; More open cooperation in science and technology, innovation; Closer cultural, tourism and people-to-people exchange cooperation. At the same time, priorities were proposed to materialize the direction of “5 more”.

During the visit, the two sides adopted the Action Program to implement the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for 2024-2028 and exchanged a diplomatic note on Vietnam's accession to the Alliance for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure. The two sides adopted a Joint Statement on strengthening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the two Prime Ministers pressed the button to inaugurate the Military Software Park in Nha Trang.

Ministries, branches and agencies of the two sides signed and exchanged 09 cooperation documents in the fields of health, law and justice, diplomacy, human resource training, agricultural science, radio and television, tourism, culture, agriculture... Enterprises of the two countries also signed and exchanged 10 cooperation documents in the fields of: infrastructure, logistics, aviation, tourism, culture, pharmaceuticals...

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's State visit to India contributes to bringing the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to a new page, deeper, more substantial and effective, for the benefit of each country, each people and for peace, friendship and cooperation in the region and the world.
