Artist Thoại Mỹ has just responded to information about clips floating on the internet showing images that are said to be of her funeral.

Artist Thoai My confirmed that she is still healthy, that is just false information.

While singing, Thoại Mỹ was shocked to receive a clip that was said to be her funeral.

In the clip posted on her personal page and fanpage, artist Thoại Mỹ happily said that she is healthy and has arrived in Houston (USA) to prepare for the Vu Lan show at Phước Đức Monastery on the morning of September 14 (ie the morning of September 15, Vietnam time).

She said she was surprised to see the audience sending so many messages, clips and expressing concern for Thoai My.

In those clips, Thoai My's image was combined with a white coffin with the fabricated caption: "Goodbye Meritorious Artist Thoai My, you will forever be a legend in my heart and in the hearts of future generations."

After a moment of surprise, Thoại Mỹ regained her composure and found it funny: "Why didn't I know about my own funeral?". However, because she was afraid that the audience and her beloved colleagues would panic, Thoại Mỹ had to quickly record a clip to correct this false rumor.

She reassured the audience to rest assured, she is still safe. At the same time, she sent a message to those who are spreading fabricated clips: "You guys should stop, from this artist to that artist, what you are doing is not good!".

Thoai My and Vu Lan season shows

This year, even though she is in the US, Thoai My still regularly accepts shows to serve Buddhists and audiences at temples.

In the show on the morning of September 15, she will meet her close colleague, artist Phuong Hong Thuy.

Both Thoại Mỹ and Phương Hồng Thủy are Buddhists and are very devoted to Buddhism. On their personal pages, the two artists often share good lessons from Buddha's teachings.

Artist Thoại Miêu, Thoại Mỹ’s older sister, said that when they go to the temple, they both like to sit and chant sutras. Those are the moments that make them calm down and think of good things.

Thoại Mỹ lost her mother very early, so going to the temple and singing at the temple is also her way of dedicating merit to her beloved mother.

Artist Phuong Hong Thuy is the adopted daughter of the late artist Ut Bach Lan. Mrs. Ut Bach Lan founded the group Hoa Lan Trang, which specializes in charity singing and singing at temples to create blessings and support artists and the poor.

When Mrs. Ut was still alive, Phuong Hong Thuy would accompany and sing with her whenever she had the chance. After she passed away, she occasionally performed with Hoa Lan Trang , now continued by artist To Chau.
