In recent years, the province has implemented many embankment projects.

In addition, Tay Ninh also proposed that the Central Government consider and support funding for two projects to prevent drought and saltwater intrusion, including: Investing in the construction of a saltwater control system on the Vam Co River to proactively prevent saltwater intrusion into the two branches of the Vam Co Dong and Vam Co Tay rivers; building Thanh An freshwater reservoir to serve production and daily life for people affected by water shortage and saltwater intrusion in the dry season.
The implementation of the above projects will contribute to responding to climate change, preventing saltwater intrusion and riverbank erosion. Thereby, helping to protect the safety of property and lives of people in the affected areas; creating favorable conditions for local agricultural production.
According to Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Vo Minh Thanh, along with the above proposed projects and the projects that have been and are being implemented, all levels and sectors in the province are also focusing on implementing many solutions to cope with the increasingly complicated situation of drought, saltwater intrusion, and riverbank erosion.
In particular, focusing on propaganda to raise people's awareness in proactively using water sources for production and daily life in the dry season; arranging a seasonal schedule in accordance with forecasts of water sources and weather; organizing inspection and dredging of irrigation canals; closely monitoring and placing warning signs in areas at risk of landslides, etc.
Thereby, contributing to supporting and facilitating the daily life and agricultural production of people in areas affected by drought, saltwater intrusion and riverbank erosion./.
